PM&R MEDICAL STUDENT Training Course

This course introduces medical students to the core principles and real-world practice of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R). Students will learn how physiatrists evaluate function, manage pain and spasticity, coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation, and improve patient outcomes across neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions. Through case-based teaching, practical frameworks, and exposure to procedures and quality improvement, participants gain a clear understanding of PM&R’s role in modern medicine and how it integrates with other specialties. The course is designed to build clinical insight, systems-based thinking, and early professional skills relevant to any future specialty.
