A Japanese study on 73 women aged 59-85 years showed that daily supplementation of 300 mg of licorice flavonoid oil for 16 weeks together with a strength training program and instruction to increase daily step count by 1000 help decrease weight and improve single leg stance balance, presumably by improved skeletal muscle function by increased antioxidant activity (Aging Clin Exp Res. 2020 Mar 11).
